Although I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person, through her photos I could still feel the warmth of her smile, and the glow in her eyes. She was a Great Woman to say the least, she lived a long life full of ups and downs but she remained strong. I cried like a baby when I heard and cry when I think of her. Her late Majesty, a natural aristocrat, made for a perfect 20th-century Queen/Empress. Being a citizen of a Commonwealth nation-Malaysia, I feel a terrible loss of a woman who inspired exceptional resolve and respect. Her life was one that was of public service and Christian faith. Her Hand, So Sweet Her hand lift up to wave to the world, so sweet so loving, that wonderful girl. Gave all the respect to every kind of person, no matter poor, rich, colour to imagine. At 101 as she past in her sleep, the world stoped not even a peep.

I remember as a young boy (almost 30 years ago) standing on the side of a driveway leading to EP Taylor's house in Toronto and waiting for the Queen mother to come by via her royal entourage. As the Rolls Royce approached the driveway, an elderly woman jumped in front of the car and at the top of her lungs, in a thick british accent, screamed "G-d save the Queen". It was a very thrilling moment that I recall fondly. Thanks for being a beacon of hope to many around the world during difficult times.

I grew up with the Queen Mother, before the head of the monarchy changed, I have always thought she was the backbone of the Royal Family, it will take a long time to get along without her, the Queen will miss her daily phone calls, but one thing is for sure, that lovely lady will never be forgotten by the people who loved and respected her, we will remember her always. To amend a statement Queen Elizabeth II made in Austin, Travis County, Texas, on her last visit, "Lesser mortals are pitied by not having known Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother." I unfortunately never met her. I wish my most heartfelt condolences to the British Royal Family during this most trying time. I wish I could relate some anecdote that would make any who reads this laugh and think of her fondly. Yes, I think that's the crux of it; reading about her or hearing the TV reports of her life, times, words, and accomplishments, one cannot help but think of her fondly. I imagine that with her strength during World War II and her penchant for gambling in horse racing, she must have had a singular wit about her, as well; yet another reason she will be sorely missed by both those she touched with her life and those she never met. Altogether, she lived a *very* full life, and there is much comfort in that alone. We greatly admire those who show such longevity, no matter where you are from, but to do it in the way she did, makes us, even from across the Pond in the USA, take pause and honor her for her life's accomplishments, and even moreso for the great human being she was, and will continue to be as we now chronicle her life and her story grows and touches us all over again. Truly, a special tribute to a special woman. I know that it is unlikely at 30 that I will see a woman like her again. My own great-grandmother was born in 1885, and it amazes me to this day that I actually had a relationship with her, that she kept her faculties into her 90s when so many do not. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother reminded me of my Great-Grandmother (Laura Seibert Weber), in all that she did, saw, and meant to so many, just that Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother did it on a planetary scale. Even though a person from Baltimore hurt Great Britain alot, it seems to have turned out for the better. I have been watching the repeat shows with the history of how Your Majesty came into the forefront, and really, as much heartache and trouble this burden has been for you and your family the alternate choice is not acceptable. There is the saying God works in mysterious ways, and I guess he gave you a break with the private life you had before 1936. Three Cheers for the Queen!
