Born in England, I have always been fascinated by the Royal Family. I have countinued to
follow their lives. I greatly admired the Queen Mum not only as a Icon in her own right
but as a "real" person, able to counsel and steer the "youngsters" as
the they developed. England and the World will greatly miss her. It is unfortunate that
there is no one to replace her, that that any one ever could!

Please accept my families sincere condolences on the death of the Queen Mother. My Great
Grandmother was a seamstress for Queen Victoria and our family have the highest esteem for
the Royal Family. My Great Grandmother's name was Mary Roberts when she & her husband
came over by ox-cart to settle south of Calgary, Alberta. We grew up treasuring news of
the Royal Family. We all fondly remember the vist of Prince Charles & Queen Elizabeth
when they came to Edmonton & we got to see them. These thoughts are just to let you
know that our hearts & prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. We shall miss her
dearly too. She was such a good example for all of us to follow! With Love, Phyllis Lynda

I wish to express my condolences to the Royal Family. There becomes a time when someone
who affects the lives of so many, by her enduring presence or by simply a kind word finds
her way into the hearts of people all over the world. In time, though she is not seen
always, the simple knowledge that she is there is a comfort to all. Times change, people
change, those who bear witness to it are few, and their passing will not go unmourned, not
even by those of us who wish to remain unknown.

I was so heartbroken to hear about the death of the Queen Mother. Shocked, really. Still I
have tears out of my eyes, even now as I write this down. The Queen Mother lived a
huuuuuge life and thank God she did. But its sad to know I would never have the chance to
meet her. Never get a chance to give her an hug or tell how adorable she is. But what I do
know is that she's reunited with Bertie and Margaret and by golly she gets to meet my Dad!
I hope the best for her daughter and the rest of the Royal family the best and love. God
bless the Queen. RIP Queen Mommy!

Having lost my own mother two years ago, I have great understanding and sympathy for Queen
Elizabeth and her family. It is very difficult to let go of a loved one, and there is a
great sense of loss. In many ways, my own mother was very much like the Queen Mum, full of
love, fun and mischief. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Very
sincerely yours, Linda.

A woman who has showed us what being British is. She worked hard at describing in many ways her beliefs. To see her ceremony just lets us visualise what kind of person she was to those who did not know her. Someone we all look up to an hope to be like with all of the wounderful things she has done for this country and foe others while in her power. Through all of her accomplishments she helped us determin what England is. A magnificent person who lead us all to greatness and sincerity. And out of all of her journeys she has been on, the reunition with her beloved husband i believe will be her greatest. Even in her death she will still live in our hearts, minds, and souls and will thrive to exist through every breath we take. She was, is and will ever be the reason why we are called Great Britain, she was a great woman, a true lady and our English rose. By Annabel Gray (Aged 15 to be 16 within this April month) For her magnificent Majesty the Queen Mother, Elizibeth. This is what I believe she symbolised!

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers in your time of grieving. From the
time I realized that my roots went back to England I have always felt close to all that
has happened in England. My children and I always watched anything that was available to
us by television. Even though it would be in the middle of the night. We were in San Diego
when the Queen was there and went down to the wharf to be able to see her. During
America's time of need, I cried when I saw how much compassion you had for us after
September 11th's attack on America. I only hope and pray that we will continue to share
the special bond that our countries have. Please know that we are here for you and love
all of you. The Queen mother will be sorely missed by all in your country and abroad.

The Queen Mother was one of the last true royals. She was the rock that the family could
go to for support and comfort through the bad times. She was one to be admired and looked
up to and lived a wonderful life, through good times and bad and shone like a light at the
end of a dark tunnel. To the royal family, our thoughts are with you, it is never easy to
lose someone who is held so dear and it is even harder being in the public spotlight as
you are when something like this happens. Take the time to grieve, you are but only human,
and the Queen Mother was REAL! and would want you to celebrate her life in the way that
you need to. Take care.

Within this darling lady is what I think of as the best that can possibly be. She had a
sense of humor and the ability to be interested in people for who they were. She was a
loving wife and mother. It seems to me that she was the perfect grandma. She could be
regal and real at the same time. It is a great loss. We could all learn a lot from her
life. My prayers are with the Royal family at this tremendous loss.

I could never muster appropriate words to lessen the sorrow you the Royal Family must be
feeling right now. I can only hope to give you a glimpse of the heaven HRH, the Queen
Mother would be living in. The horse track would run forever, and everyone would win. No
one would enjoy that more than her majesty. There would be no need to look the East End in
the face; all would be equal, and the Queen Mum would delight in her new-found friends.
The streams would be constantly stocked with fish, and for the first time in over twenty
years, she'd enjoy the fun of a "good catch." There would be no jewelry worn in
heaven; all people there would be their own pearls, both of wisdom and love. And lastly,
her dearly-departed King George VI, "Bertie", would take Elizabeth by the hand
and joke, "You denied me twice your hand in marriage. Now you stayed away for fifty
years." Chokingly, he adds, "It's good to have you back." God Save the
Queen

Isuppose I was like every other person and thought our Queen Mum would be with us forever.
In truth for 99.9% of us she was. Her smile could light up a room, and her graciousness and
spirit of good fun could not but help to make a bad day seem very small indeed! If any
good could come from this dear Queen Mum's passing, is that we all have to take stock of
our own lives. Learn the name of your next door neighbour, if you see someone
struggling, help them out, and do it in the Queen Mothers name. Your Majesty, I pray for

imagine the celebration as you arrived in heaven. Hugzzzz of comfort to your family as
they adjust to life w/out you. Marietta

Queen Mother was an institution and I thought she would live forever. The qualities she

A HARDY FAREWELL TO OUR BELOVED QUEEN MOTHER.
Farewell ! farewell! farewell! our beloved Queen Mother
Your reign was one of true royalty and majesty.
You ruled with a hand of unconditional love and gentleness
You are royalty ! Yet, you ruled with a a common touch.
Life gave you many mountains to climb and valleys of despair to cross, with Gods help you climbed them all!
Now rise above the clouds, and ride the Trade winds of Eternity , set in motion by our Creator.
Take your place among the stars of heaven, and shine from the palace that wasnt built with human hands.
Join hands with the celestial bodies of the universe, and glow from an inexhaustible Source of energy, supplied by God Himself.
We love you ! Queen Mother, and we shall miss you oh! So much!

The Queen Mother was a wonderful lady. She was very good at talking with another person as
she walked along, but was also listening to those around her. One day I went to St.James's
Palace for the Needlework Exhibition and we stood round the room in a square formation.
She came into the room and chatted to people as she walked down the lines. She past by me
chatting to the official with her. I said to my friend next to me, Oh she has gone by us.
With a swift movement of her head the Queen Mother turned around and made straight for us
and shook our hands and began to talk to us. What other person would have done that. I
will always remember her. She was lovely.

See her wings, see her soar - up to the heavens to meet our good lord once more. And as
she settles upon her misty domain, there she finds her ancient mate again. Oh long it has
been and her heart has been heavy, but now her eyes sparkle with love, and all thats
merry. And off they fly, now two are as one - off to that mystical, magical land. Our
hearts are bursting, with sadness, love and pride, and we all hope that we too can join
this magical ride. Our hope is for love and peace, and for others we pray for helpful
release. For who knows what the good lord intends, for us mere mortals how will our future
end? Let us rise above our mortal ways and know ourselves truly as once we were raised.

My sincere condolences to the Royal Family, and particularly to Her Majesty, who has
suffered two dreadful losses within the space of seven weeks.
The Queen Mother was an extraordinary woman, who lived in extraordinary times, saw incredible social, political, and economic changes, and somehow managed always to relate to people as she found them. I was privileged to meet her in 1976, when I passed my Royal Conservatory Piano Examination, and my teacher took me to Tunbridge Wells, as a treat. The Queen Mother was gracious to a fault, and even though it was a fleeting moment, she embodied for me dignity and poise.
I wept at her passing, because not only she but an entire era has slipped away; one not any less cruel than ours, but one in which stoicism, good manners, and kindness were more generally admired and cherished.
We shall not see her like again.

Remembering Our Anglican Queen Mum. By Father Monty
The day that our Queen Mum died was a day we all dreaded would come like it did yesterday -- March 30th, 2oo2. But our sorrow should not be for her death, but rather our gladness that we as a British peoples knew her so well and that she knew us so well, too. Close to 102 -- this coming August 4th -- our beloved Queen Mum will not be forgotten then nor now nor in the history of our nation. With the deaths of Diana and Margret Rose, we must remember that our Queen Mum endured the passing of so many in her own long lifetime. Her most recent sorrow of the death of her own daughter Margret Rose must have been truly deva-stating for her of all the deaths she has known of others, with the exception of her beloved husband King George Sixth. Thus, her own passing now brings final rest to her that she surely deserves after a life of over one century. While I never saw or met her personally, I considered Queen Mum to be part of my life. She was like an old friend of yesteryears at my own age of 58. I remember first seeing her on telly, I think, at the time of the 1953 Coronation of her princess daughter Elizabeth. I remember that day so well, because it was such a jolly nice day for me and everyone. And, everybody at Wolverhampton Road seemed so very tickled-pink over the young Queen's coronation. I was just a little grubby and a cheeky, even rough, Staffordshire boy of nine years of age back then. Who would have ever thought then that I would now be memorializing our Queen Mum's death at the dawn of 50 years later from far away America? Certainly, least of all me! I am, after all, just a lowly lettered lad of poor Midland stock. Yet Queen Mum, over all those years and from those now far away times, has but steadily grown in my heart. She represented for me, and perhaps for many like me, the Historic England that I once knew, but has now long since disappeared to the modern digital age of the internetization of our world. Such is now the case, but the pure power of bittersweet sentimentality still overpowers me whenever I think of England and our dear Queen Mum. I will remember her especially well for all of what she once truly represented to me and to those of her countless and avid admirers from the Old and New World. Her royal biography has now forever ended at the day's close of the regal and glittering long life of our Dowager Queen Mother.
The passing of our beloved Queen Mum now marks the close of the English 20th century, completely for me. How glad I am that I have lived to see the life of Queen Mum and to have known of her decency and courage that has been the essence of our true British character and breeding -- no matter whether we are of high or humble stock by our own birthright.
Thank you Queen Mum for having been so British and having held the British Throne with that Anglican grace and dignity all of your very own. I mourn quiet at your passing, but rejoice that you came our way and tarried with us for a long while to make all England so proud! Bless you, my dear! And, so go and rest now with us forevermore at England's green and pleasant land. The royal crown speaks of you like the goodly Queen you have been. Bravo, Your Majesty!!

At last you are back in the arms of your dear Bertie and reunited with your Margaret. I
feel that I and the whole world have lost our "grandmother". Although I am not a
British subject, my heartfelt wishes that God will comfort all those who knew you well and
loved you. Princess Diana was once called England's Rose. If she was England's Rose, truly
you were England's Rose Garden.

I find it abhorrent that following wonderful "Queen Mum's" death,.... whoever,
would possibly seize an opportunity to disparage the late Princess Diana. this was evident
in the internet report I just witnessed .....which portrayed the beloved and late
"Queen mother" as portraying Diana as something like...(please forgive my memory
here...) ..."a silly creature." It is sad indeed, for all of humanity, when we
are experiencing such vindictive and immature social and political policy extrapolated by
political leaders now presiding officially in the US and abroad, that someone would steep
so low as to slight someone who herself was slighted by the monarchy. My heart goes out to
all who are saddenned by the loss of The Queen Mother, especially her daughter, Queen
Elizabeth, who has experienced and sufferred the loss of her beloved mother and only
sibling, her sister, in such a short span of time. Surely, this is a time to convey as
much support as ..."someone out there in humanity"...possibly can...but if my
brain allows me to elucidate upon such an important event...ie. the death of Qeen
Elizabeth's mother and sister...this is an extremely private time of grieving for her
royal highness, Queen Elizabeth 11 and immediate family. Please....let us not succumb to
the ability to slander or scapegoat any person...no matter who it is...upon the death of
someone so loved by her immediate family ...and the public at large. We do not want
another "war" ...however, as we all know only too well, this is a distinct
possibity when significant international leaders have the power which we have foolishly
entrusted upon them. May we pray as a collective humanity, that such "scapegoating
which we have witnessed by media.....be condemned and not allowed to be a menace to the
slight possibilty of "World Wide Peace. We must also acknowledge that the death of
such a fine woman coincided with Easter...it's symbolism apparent to all who claim we
practice the humility of Christianity. Amen!

It is with deepest sympathy that I send this note to the Royal family but also with
profound gratitude that the Queen Mother represented Great Britain and the Commonwealth so
graciously in her very full life. I am very proud to have been born in London (Queen
Mary's Maternity Hospital Hampstead 1957) and still hold it dear to my heart. A mother
comes but only once in your life and is a great loss regardless of age. My thoughts and

I definitely want to take a moment and say how sorry I am to hear of the Queen Mothers
passing and my thoughts are definitely with the Royal Family - also with my friends and
family in England. It is at times like this that I wish I could be there and share this
time with you. We will all truly miss the wonderful Queen Mother - through my life I have
grown a fondness and respect for her. When I think of the words class and elegance she
truly defines those words. Always kind, always gracious. She will always live in our
hearts and memories. We will miss her. Tony

A group of people from work were watching to catch a glimpse of the Queen Mom as she drove
up the street where I lived in 1967, when a fellow from the Black Watch that I knew asked
me for a date. I married him the next year and always felt the Queen Mother played an
important part in my life that day. She is the most royal of royals like the finest of
china, a job well done. She shall be missed! My condolences to all the royal family!

great memories for the Royal Family. She lived a great life, filled with many adventures,
many mishaps good and bad, a husband, children and even grandchildren. She leaves us with
fond memories of her and a sense of joy knowing that she touched many lives with her down
to earth persona and quick wit and boundless energy. Remember her well!!!! Peace to her

In this modern age where royalty seems old fashioned, people forget what an asset she and
her husband were to Britain and the world in general during WW2.
They were a beacon of hope and normality to many millions including the thousands of foreign and Commonwealth troops stationed in the UK at that time, struggling to survive under the most extreme conditions, fighting and giving their lives for the things we take for granted nowadays, freedom, peace and democracy.
My condolences to her family and the people of the UK.

Once again, all too soon we weep for the Royal Family and yet another loss they must
endure. Loosing the "Queen Mum" is loosing an overwhelming sense of security she
offered us all. To so many of us here "Across The Pond" she was truly a
"Mother Figure" of the greatest level and represented supreme elegance forever
smiling down upon all of us. You are not alone with this loss. We shall all mourn her
passing and forever feel an empty spot within our heart and soul that will never be filled
by anyone else again. We must remember it is not in the date of Birth or Death that one
should mourn but rather.... it is the DASH between these two dates that is what is of
greatest importance to help get us through such a sorrowful time. And what a
"WONDERFUL DASH" she lived! It is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to not think of her
wonderful, glorious, cheerful smile when we think of her and that is what we must hold
onto now.My heart aches to think I will never see her image again yet how foolish to think
it could ever be erased. We have all lost "Our Mother" right along with you and
pray that during these most troubling times of the entire world she will be up in Heaven
smiling down upon us all in a safer and more peaceful place. God has lent us a most
amazing woman for a very long time but she was called upon by him to be taken back home
and go on into eternity doing far greater things yet to be. She is in the stars, the moon,
a gentle breeze, a childrens laugh, a baby smile, a brave moment, a silent brook, a
budding flower. She has touched each and everyone of us in so many ways throughout our
lives and will continue to do so if we just take the time to look around us and see the
beauty of creation. God Bless you all in your overwhelming time of such sadness and know
that you do not grieve alone. I shall offer a mass be said in her honor and also to honor
the Royal Family for the strength you posess that encourages us to be able go on. How
lucky we all are to have had her guide us in our lifetime through an entire century. It
shall forever be a Piece of History of the "Heart" for all of us and we must bow
our heads in greatful thanks we were able to be a part of this remarkable womans time here
on earth. Within her "DASH" she taught us so much and we must honor her memory
by adhering to these lessons and most of all.........Smile........for that is what she was
always able to give to us even in her own times of intense pressures and frustrations. God
bless the Queen and God Bless the Royal Family for always being our strength. Sincerely,
Karen Waeschle
